In the matter of Marmat Forte versus The RBG Workout: How She Stays Strong… and You Can Too!, written by Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s personal trainer, Bryant Johnson, I’ve reached a verdict: RBG’s notorious workout is legit. Supreme, you might say. Bryant Johnson, who “daylights” as a court clerk and 30-year Army reservist, has put together a great combination of body-weight and machine exercises (in the book, he presents an “at-home” version of anything he has RBG doing in the gym) that emphasize functional strength and balance. And the illustrations are fun (and actually quite helpful for beginners)! In my book, RBG is a super hero for many reasons, but she actually looks like one in these pages. 🙂 At $9.99 for the highly portable Kindle version, this is a great virtual stocking stuffer.
